After Ferguson's Grand Jury's Decision Hip-Hop
Star Killer Mike Announced A Emotional Speech
BHR Hollywood Reports.........
Emotions were running high in Ferguson after the grand jury decision.

Just hours after it was revealed that no charges would be brought against Officer Darren Wilson for shooting unarmed black teenager Mike Brown, emotional speechplayed a show at the Ready Room in St. Louis, only a few miles from Ferguson.

One half of the hip-hop duo, Killer Mike, broke down in tears as he expressed his outrage.

During his emotional speech, a visibly shaken Mike told the crowd that he stood in front of his wife and cried after the decision was announced.

But after the tears, he vowed to take a stand.

Micheal Brown
“You motherfu**ers will not own tomorrow. We will not live in your fear, we will not accept your pain, we’re not going to keep playing that race card ’cause we know you don’t value my skin and we know you do value his [points to El-P], but you know what, we’re friends, and nothing is gonna devalue that.”

He left with some words of wisdom: “It is not about race, it is not about class, it is not about color, it is about what they killed him for.

It is about poverty, it is about greed, and it is about a war machine.”

Fires, gas masks, rocks, riot gear, gunfire, smoke pouring out of the smashed windows of an Advance Auto Parts ... everyone saw last night's news, and many St. Louisans were wary of becoming part of it.

But following a grand jury's decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown, attendees at Tuesday's impeccably timed local show by rap duo Run the Jewels weren't exactly in the mood to burn this motherfucker to the ground.

Protesters In Ferguson

Ten miles south of Ferguson, the Ready Room was crammed with bearded, sensitive rap fans who'd ventured out on a night when much of the city was bunkering down.

They'd paid $30 for a hip-hop show, and given the tragic circumstances, they were hoping for the best one they'd ever seen.

St. Louis is a sprawling but largely uninhabited city; despite what you saw on the news, one could have driven all around town last night and not known anything was amiss.
